Sports Membership


Ambassador Preview Sports Membership provides full access to all of the Club's facilties and amenities to include the championship Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course (limited to 6 times (plus 4 additional times on specified Men's and Ladies Days) November 1 through April 30 each year and unlimited during the summer season), practice greens, driving range, pro shop, swimming, fitness and spa, dining, clubhouse and all social related events and activities.
Initiation Fee:  $10,000.00. Until February 28, 2011 an Ambassador Preview Membership is available for $5,000.00.  If purchased in conjunction with a real estate transaction within Kensington the fee is payable in full at closing. Monthly Dues:  $385.00
New Members and their sponsor will each receive up to 24 monthly credits of $75.00.

A Sports Membership entitles the member to use all of the tennis, swimming, fitness and social facilities of the Club.  Sports Members are not charged court fees.  Sports Members are entitled to a six-day sign-up privilege to reserve tennis court times.  In addition, Sports Members shall be entitled to use the golf facilities up to 6 times during the winter season, from November 1 through April 30 each year, plus an additional 4 times on specified Men's and/or Ladies Days. Sports Members are entitled to unlimited golf play during the summer season.  Sports Members are entitled to a three-day sign-up privilege to reserve golf tee times during the winter season and a four-day sign-up privilege during the summer season. Sports Members are charged greens fees and golf cart fees for use of the golf facilities during the winter season, and cart fees only during the summer season.


Equity Sports Membership entitles the member, his or her spouse and unmarried children of either spouse under the age of 23, who are either living at home or attending school on a full-time basis, to use the Club facilities in accordance with the membership category.

Refundable Equity Members are entitled to a repayment of their membership contribution after the membership has been reissued by the Club.  Upon reissuance of the membership, the Equity Member will be repaid eighty percent (80%) of the amount of the new membership contribution then charged and collected for the resigning member’s category of membership.

A Refundable Equity Member who owns a home or homesite in Kensington may arrange for the Club to reissue his or her membership to the subsequent purchaser of the home or homesite.  The purchaser must be approved for membership and pay the required membership contribution.  A transfer of a membership which is associated with the transfer of a home or homesite is not subject to any of the waiting lists.

Non-Refundable Equity Members are not entitled to a refund of the membership contribution upon resignation.  A Non-Resident member with a non-refundable equity membership may resign their membership at any time by paying the equivalent of twelve months dues from the date of their resigning and turning their membership in to the club.  The resigned member will have no further obligation to the club.  The member may continue to use the membership until the twelve month period expires.  A resident non-refundable equity golf or sports member may resign their membership by paying the equivalent of twelve months dues from the date of their resigning and accepting a non-refundable social membership.  The member must agree to maintain the social membership as long as they own a residence in Kensington.

All memberships are subject to an annual Food Minimum of $600.00.
